Everything we do is driven by a simple goal, to see healthy koalas living in healthy environments, protected by stronger safeguards that give them the best possible chance of survival into the future. The Koala Alliance is a 100% volunteer run organisation.
To drive the needed change to protect Australia’s wild species, no one action is enough.
That’s why our members and supporters, many of who are wildlife rescuers and carers, also dedicate hours each week:
- Collecting signatures for petitions
- Writing submissions to government inquiries
- Researching and reporting on the current state of koalas and the strategies needed to ensure they survive
- Creating campaigns to drive awareness raising and change
- Raising funds during emergencies and providing ‘boots on the ground’ to help in any way we can.
In doing all this, the Koala Alliance has quickly gained a reputation to be a trusted source of information, for journalists and politicians.
