Why become a member?
As part of the Koala Alliance, you’ll join a passionate and united community working toward real, lasting change. Together, we advocate, educate, and take action—strengthening our collective voice to influence decision-makers and inspire action at every level.
Before selecting your membership, please take a moment to review our Membership Policies document, which outlines the different membership levels available. Voting membership is reserved for individuals actively contributing in roles such as first responders or in other capacities directly supporting our projects and campaigns.
Associate, Joey, and Koala Ally Memberships
These memberships are a powerful way to support our work and get involved in meaningful actions, including:
- Signing onto campaigns or letters to decision-makers
- Attending rallies, events, and community actions
- Sharing educational and campaign materials with your networks
- Participating in webinars and online events
Voting Membership
Voting members take an active role in shaping and delivering Koala Alliance initiatives. Opportunities to contribute include:
- Creating and managing social media content across platforms
- Joining advocacy subcommittees to help develop campaigns
- Acting as trained and registered wildlife rescuers or carers
- Coordinating field responses during wildlife emergencies
- Documenting campaigns through photography, video, and storytelling
- Supporting fundraising efforts for key projects
- Assisting with post-emergency wildlife response (Victoria only, for qualified rescuers/carers)
- Helping coordinate and grow our membership community
